The Omega Women's Centre is a new multi-agency initiative of the Rochdale Interagency Domestic Violence Forum which is a registered charity. The Omega Women's Centre provide a range of services from different agencies all based under one roof to ensure you receive the best service possible within the Borough of Rochdale.
A confidential telephone or e-mail advice service
A domestic abuse trained support worker for face to face 1:1 support
A domestic violence independent advocate (IDVA) who can walk and talk you through the criminal justice process and explain things along the way
We now facilitate a women's group which has access to the new 'Survive domestic abuse' training course aimed specifically at women who have or are experiencing domestic abuse
We can liaise with other agencies on your behalf to access emergency/temporary accomodation such as refuges
We can refer you to the Rochdale 'Safer homes scheme' which is an excellent service and can provide safety measures to your home such as door defenders or a lock change to help you feel safer in your home
Income maximisation - we can undertake a benefits calculation to ensure you are receiving the benefits you are entitled to
